The house is a single-story structure with a construction area of 155 square meters, situated on a 330-square-meter plot in Ha Long City.
Architecturally, the house has an L-shape that creates shade for the recessed courtyard. The left wing contains a garage and a storage room with an automatic three-panel sliding gate. The structure has a stone foundation, brick walls, and a steel-framed roof with lightweight materials.
The main functions of the house include a shared living space, three bedrooms, two restrooms, a private bathroom, and a surrounding garden.
To harmoniously meet the living and relaxation needs of all three generations, the architects designed the spaces based on the interests and real desires of each family member. The garden is a place where the grandparents tend to plants and organize family bonding activities. The spacious common area is for children to run around and play, while the homeowner can enjoy privacy in a dedicated relaxation room.
Most of the perimeter wall is repurposed as a vegetable garden for the grandparents. Plants at the front and along the inner side of the wall are kept as they are.
The entrance path is paved with stones over black gravel, and the spacious courtyard provides a cozy sitting area for the entire family. The stepping stones can be repositioned as needed for different stages of use.
The entire common area has a view of the garden.
This shared space connects to the private rooms through intermediate hallways, avoiding direct access to bedrooms.
The living room is connected to the kitchen and dining area. The end of the sofa is designed for multi-directional seating, allowing everyone to converse easily during meals.
The kitchen is compact with natural tones. The dining chair cushions are beige to match the wood tones, creating a neat and cohesive look.
A private space for work, receiving guests, and relaxation is arranged to meet the homeowner’s needs and preferences.
Storage shelves are strategically placed to display the homeowner’s favorite collection items.
The master bedroom is compact yet always bright and well-ventilated.
A bathtub adds to the relaxation factor.
The children’s bedroom has a designated study corner.
Windows ensure plenty of natural light in the room.
